Description

BlueHouse, JetBlue’s first airport lounge, opened in December 2025 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. Located in Terminal 5, BlueHouse welcomes Mosaic 4 members, JetBlue Premier Cardholders, and transatlantic Mint customers, with guest allowances varying by eligibility. Blue Basic fares are excluded from access. Design Spanning a compact 9,000 square feet over two levels, BlueHouse adopts a residential-inspired aesthetic with Art Deco influences, brass detailing, and curated local artwork. The design incorporates both open social areas and quieter zones, aiming to balance relaxation and productivity. Nearly every seat is equipped with power outlets. Amenities Food and beverage offerings are inspired by New York’s culinary scene. Union Square Events provides fresh, daily selections ranging from breakfast sandwiches to deli-style wraps. The beverage program features local craft beers, artisan wines, and cocktails curated by city partners, while espresso drinks come from Joe Coffee. Specialty teas and chai are also available. Dedicated spaces include a quiet area with guided meditations and a family-friendly area with board games and a photo booth. Bottom line BlueHouse at New York JFK marks JetBlue’s long-anticipated entry into the lounge space, combining residential-style design with curated local amenities. BlueHouse delivers on all the basics—a comfortable space, Wi-Fi, snacks and nibbles, and quiet areas. But the club doesn’t have the cachet of an international lounge: it’s small—and bound to be busy despite the targeted access rules—and doesn’t offer true dining options or showers. Probably due to space constraints, JetBlue doesn’t offer lounge access to transcontinental premium class customers, unlike competitors. The airline is expected to expand access options in February 2026 with the introduction of an annual paid membership.
