Stroll around the Kimberley CBD near the City Hall and the William Humphreys Art Gallery area to get a feel for the historic diamond town and its semi‑arid surroundings. Keep one hour buffer for security and boarding on your return to the airport.

With around 8 hours, you can comfortably visit Kimberley’s headline attraction: the Big Hole and Kimberley Mine Museum. Take a taxi or pre‑booked transfer from KIM (about 20 minutes). Explore the viewing platform over the Big Hole, the open‑air museum streets, and the exhibits on diamond mining history. Have lunch at one of the restaurants in the Big Hole complex, then, if time allows, stop by the William Humphreys Art Gallery in town for South African and European artworks.
